Vodafone is well known for its mobile phone services, however, it has twice attempted to enter the broadband market. Once in 2006 with Vodafone at Home and a more successful attempt in 2015.
Whether you’re already a Vodafone customer or are looking to switch, you can use this page to find out everything you need to know about Vodafone broadband.

Vodafone broadband customers can use this page to find the answers to fix common broadband problems or make the most of their connections.
Vodafone broadband login
My Vodafone is one of the best ways to manage your Vodafone broadband account.
Through your online account you can:
- Pay bills
- View your broadband plan
- Change your contact details
- Set age restrictions
- Change your broadband plan
- Set spending limits
- Change your details
- Receive discounts on other Vodafone services
To register, all you’ll need is your broadband order number (which will be in your confirmation email and will start with either WEB, SBL, EDM, or UC4), your email address, and a device that uses the contact details you used when you signed up.
Why can’t I access my account?
If you’re having trouble with your Vodafone broadband login, there are a few things that might be wrong.
The most common reason that people can’t access their account is that their Vodafone broadband login details are wrong. Make sure there are no spelling mistakes and that you’re using the right combination for your My Vodafone account. If you’ve forgotten your details, you can contact Vodafone through their live chat service.
If you haven’t received your security code within 5 minutes, try going back out and requesting a new one. You can also request for it to be sent to a different number if that helps. Each code expires in 20 minutes, so if you don’t use it within that time, you’ll have to request a new one.
You should still be able to access your My Vodafone account when you leave Vodafone, however, your old number won’t come up in the drop-down on the My Vodafone broadband login page. You can still use your alternative contact details to log in or call 03333 040 191.
Download the Vodafone Broadband app
Your Vodafone WiFi hub is designed to work with the Vodafone Broadband app to take complete control of your broadband.
The app is a great way to improve your broadband package by:
- Boosting the WiFi signal on your device (prioritise one device over others)
- Creating custom WiFi schedules
- Sharing your network details with a QR code
- Creating your own guest network
- Viewing connected devices
- Blocking certain devices from connecting to your network
You can also download the My Vodafone app where you can manage your account and all your other Vodafone services in one place.
Having trouble connecting
One of the most common issues people experience with their broadband is to do with their connection. Whether your connection drops regularly or you can’t get connected at all, there’s a solution to your problem.
If you’ve just switched to Vodafone, it’s completely normal to see fluctuating connections and speeds in the first few days as your hub finds the best channel. Your connection should sort itself out within a couple of days.
Struggling with your connection?
The most complained about issue when it comes to broadband is slow speeds and dropping connection. We can help you improve both of these if you give us a call today!
If your connection is still dropping out after the first 3 days of going live, the first thing you should try is turning your hub off and on again. Give it a minute or so to connect to the right channel and your connection might be more stable.
The next thing to try is checking that the fault isn’t on Vodafone’s end – there might be works going on or problems with the whole network. Use the link below to find out if this is what’s causing the connection issues.
If you’re still having trouble, you should contact Vodafone by calling 03333 040 191 or using the live chat service on their website.
What if my speed is too low?
No matter what you’re doing online, slow broadband isn’t something you should have to put up with. Luckily, there are a few easy things you can do to improve your speed.
The first thing you should do is run a speed test to see your current speed. You can do this through Vodafone’s broadband app or on their website by clicking the link below.
Broadband speed can vary throughout the day, however, if your speed is below the minimum guaranteed speed that Vodafone promised when you signed up, you should contact Vodafone either using the live chat on their website or by calling 03333 040 191. If they can’t fix the problem within 30 days, you’ll be able to cancel your broadband package and switch providers with no early cancellation fees.
Cancelling Vodafone broadband
If you want to cancel your Vodafone broadband package to switch to a new provider, you shouldn’t have to do anything. Your new provider should be able to take care of the switch for you.
If you just want to cancel the service, you can call Vodafone on 03333 040 191.
While you’re free to switch providers or cancel your broadband package whenever you like, you might have to pay an early termination fee if you leave before the end of your contract.
Your Early Termination Fee is calculated by multiplying how much you pay per month by how many months are left on your contract and deducting 2% for ‘early payment receipt’ (the payment is being paid in a lump sum rather than staggered).
For example, if you pay £50 per month and have 4 months left on your contract, this will be calculated as £50 x 4 = £200 – 2% = £196.
If you’re leaving within the first 14 days of your contract or aren’t getting the speeds or connection you were promised, you’ll be able to cancel without paying cancellation fees.

Vodafone broadband reviews
Looking at customer reviews is one of the most important things to do before buying anything, let alone entering a year’s contract with your broadband provider. As a predominantly mobile phone provider, the below review scores should be taken with a pinch of salt as they’re often combined review pages.
|Trustpilot||1.3 out of 5 | 13,908 reviews|
|Reviews.io||1.4 out of 5 | 1,806 reviews|
|Broadband.co.uk||2.8 out of 5 | 1,400 reviews|
Multiple Vodafone broadband reviews mention long wait times for customer service and for problems to be solved. This is a very significant issue when it comes to broadband connections as customers are left without broadband for days on end or regularly dropping connections.
However, many customers are happy with the speeds they receive, often faster than advertised. This is especially prevalent in FTTP customers who are able to receive the highest speeds.
Vodafone only offers fibre broadband packages, so you’ll have to look elsewhere if fibre isn’t available in your area yet. However, it is available to over 95% of the country so the two standard fibre packages are great options for most customers.
|Superfast 1||Superfast 2||Superfast 100 Pro|
|Price per month||£22||£24||£39|
Vodafone Gigafast and Ultrafast broadband packages
Vodafone has recently started offering Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) broadband packages, known as Vodafone Gigafast. With Vodafone Gigafast, you could see symmetric speeds of up to 900Mbps.
|Ultrafast 200 Pro||Ultrafast 500 Pro||Vodafone Gigafast 900 Pro|
|Price per month||£45||£50||£60|
Vodafone Gigafast is currently only available in 15 areas of the UK, including:
- Milton Keynes
The Vodafone GigaCube is a 4G or 5G router that connects to the Vodafone mobile network to bring you a reliable WiFi connection in your home.
The 4G GigaCube can connect up to 20 devices at a time, reaching speeds of up to 300Mbps. The 5G GigaCube can connect up to 64 devices to a 1Gbps connection.
Unfortunately, the plans for the Vodafone GigaCube are a lot more expensive than their broadband equivalent, with unlimited 4G data costing £60 per month. However, they’re a great alternative if you need faster speeds where fibre broadband is unavailable.
